Heavy Debris & Bulky Items in Charlotte & Lee County, FL

Tires and batteries can be handled. Just set them aside or load them last and tell us they're in there. There's a small per-item fee, and the only real no-no is burying or hiding them, since someone has to dig them out and haul them off separately. Fridges, AC units, and other appliances are no problem either. If you're working through a big cleanout and aren't sure what to do with something, send us a picture and we'll tell you.

Every roll-off rental includes a weight allowance, from 2,000 pounds on the 7-yard up to 4,000 on the 20-yard, which covers most household junk, furniture, and general cleanout loads without a second thought. The one thing that sneaks up on people is heavy material. Dirt, broken concrete, tile, brick, and roofing tear-off get heavy long before they look full, so a small box packed with that kind of debris can pass the weight limit while it still looks half empty. If your load is mostly heavy material, mention it when you book and we'll point you to the right size so you're not paying overage you could have avoided. For light, bulky stuff like furniture or a garage full of boxes, you'll run out of room long before you hit the weight, so size for volume instead.

Where Restricted Items Go Instead

The items that can't go in a roll-off aren't garbage, they just need a different path, and most of them have a free or low-cost option in Charlotte and Lee County:

Paint, chemicals, solvents, and fuels: these go to a household hazardous waste collection site. Both Charlotte and Lee County run drop-off programs for residents.
Car and household batteries: most auto parts stores take them back, often for a small core credit. Set them aside and we can also grab them for a small fee.
Tires: a tire shop or the county's designated tire drop-off will take them. We can haul a few for a per-tire fee if you tell us they're in the load.
Propane tanks: exchange them at a refill station, or your propane supplier will take an empty tank back.
Refrigerators and AC units: the refrigerant has to be recovered by law before disposal. We can take these once they're handled, so just ask.
